Local Artists Open Pop-Up Art Gallery

On Saturday March 3rd, local artists Andy Milford and Derek Price will be running one day pop-up art gallery in Kingston, NY. They are calling the gallery ‘Thou Art’ and will show some of their own work along with the work of other local artists Heather Aderson & Scott Ackerman. The event will take place from noon until 10pm, coinciding with the first Saturday openings of other galleries around Kingston.
Thou Art is located on St. James Street, right next to Keegan Ales. The space, owned by Tommy Keegan, is vacant and available for lease. In the vein of Pop-Up Galleries around the country, Thou Art is helping Mr. Keegan to lease this space by opening the doors for an art event. Milford and Price have the goal of working with other property owners around Kingston to highlight the availability of their vacant storefronts through the use of pop-up galleries. They feel this is a great way to fill some of the wonderful spaces around Kingston, and aid property owners in finding permanent tenants, while highlighting local art.
Thou Art Gallery aims to bring the whole community together by having accessible art in an entertaining environment. They feel art should be for everyone and these galleries can show this, while also helping others in the community fill some of the vacant spaces.
There will also be music and refreshments. Come relax, meet the artists and spend some quality time enjoying the photography, drawings, sculpture, paintings, stencils, video and more.
